SALON 109 POLICIES


COVID-19 Policy Updates:

During these past months of uncertainty and change, we have been looking forward to the day when we can welcome guests back to Salon 109. Our top priority is to bring an unparalleled safe experience and services to our guests. While Salon 109 has always met stringent sanitation requirements, you can expect to see our staff cleaning frequently touched surfaces more often, including doorknobs, phones, handrails, bathrooms, throughout the facility as well as the tools we use to perform services. We are considering every step of your service to ensure we meet your needs in a focused and safe manner that is in accordance with government guidelines.

  • AS OF June 23, 2020, THESE ARE THE APPOINTMENT GUIDELINES AT SALON 109. Please review all Guidelines.  Employees nor guests will be permitted on the premises if they have COVID-19 symptoms. Refrain from visiting the Salon if you or a household member have a fever, COVID-19. symptoms or a communicable illness, are under an isolation or quarantine order/directive, have a fever at or above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, or are exhibiting coughing or shortness of breath. You will be required to reschedule.
  • Guests will be served by appointment only, please be patient, we will do our best to get you in as soon as possible.
  • Due to NYS guidelines and being trained in the highest levels of disinfection and sanitation, we will be cleaning all tools, stations, towels, and anything else used between services with an EPA grade disinfectant. This will require an additional 15 minute time period between you and the next guest. So please do not be late or we unfortunately will require you to reschedule. Perhaps arrive 5 minutes early, text or call the Salon and remain in your vehicle or outside the Salon as all persons are prohibited from sitting in the waiting area at this time.
  • Bring only essential personal items and keep them with you in the Salon at all times.
  • Masks worn properly are required at all times. (We will have limited masks for sale). Please be aware masks may get stained with color so it may be best to use a disposable mask.
  • No additional individuals may come with you, unless for medical reasons you need to be accompanied, or are a parent/ guardian of a child receiving a service. If clients from the same household book an appointment on the same time and day, they must enter the building one at a time. One will be seated with stylist or technician, then the other client will be asked to come in. If you are back to back appointments with the same stylist, the other family member(s) must remain waiting in the vehicle or outside.
  • You will receive a call or text when you can enter the Salon, as you may be waiting in your car or outside the premises.
  • You will be greeted at the entrance and required to sanitize your hands immediately.
  • A quick health screening, which primarily ask about the COVID-19 symptoms above, will be performed upon entry along with a touch free temperature check. Your cannot be above 100.4 to obtain services.
  • A Covid-19 liability waiver release form will be presented to you for review, verification and required signature. Ensuring you agree and understand the potential risk, hold Salon 109 harmless, and agree to Salon guidelines. We will document your name, confirm contact information, date, and service provider in a contact tracing log.
  • If you need any retail products, please ask our front desk coordinator or stylist; and we will have them ready at checkout. Please refrain from touching products at this time. We will be happy to recommend or answer any questions.
  • You will be escorted directly to your treatment room or stylists station.
  • We apologize, but until further notice unfortunately are prohibited from offering beverages. In addition, you cannot bring food or beverages into the Salon.
  • We will not be blow drying your hair after any hair service.
  • Please bring a check or credit card for service and tip payment as we are discouraging cash payment at this time. Please be prepared, if additional time or product is needed to perform your service the cost of your service will be adjusted to reflect such. In addition, unfortunately we must raise all our service prices. Please understand as a result of COVID-19 our overhead costs are significantly greater. The cost of all products that we need to perform your services, ensure a safe environment, and conduct business have greatly increased.
  • We will confirm 24/48 hours prior to your services. At that time, we will ask about the COVID-19 symptoms above. Please answer the health questions honestly, as we will have to cancel your appointment and charge a cancellation fee in the event your temperature is above 100.4 degrees, or if we witness symptoms of COVID-19/other communicable sickness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure and include fever, cough, and shortness of breath. We are happy to reschedule your appointment for you, if you kindly give us 24+ hours notice because your health, our family’s health, and the entire community’s health is the most important thing to us!

Salon 109 Standard Policies:

  • We highly recommend you schedule your appointment in advance.
  • Upon booking your appointment, we require you to place a credit card on file or we will not book your appointment – NO EXCEPTIONS! This policy is to reduce last minute cancellations or no call/no shows as they will be subject to our cancellation fee. We understand circumstances occasionally arise, sickness, family emergencies and weather are our only exceptions.
  • Please note a 24 hour cancellation notice is required for any and all service/services booked. Your credit card will be charged in full for any and all services / appointments without 24 hour cancellation notice. If you book your appointment under the 24 hour notice timeline the cancellation policy is still in effect. We realize emergencies do occur, but it is up to Salon 109’s discretion. Please understand we work by appointment and charge for the reservation of our technicians time to accommodate you.
  • Packages and Bridal appointments require 7 day prior cancellation notice. These packages require many consecutive reservation times and affect many stylists/technicians. Thus Salon109 reserves the right to charge your credit card a minimum of 50%, up to the full amount depending on how short notice your cancellation is.
  • Late arrival – your treatment time will be reduced and full rate will apply.
  • Salon specials cannot be combined with any other offer.
  • All prices are subject to change without notice.
  • We are not responsible for lost or damage to personal items. Please do not bring jewelry or other valuables with you.
  • Gratuities are not included in the cost of any service, however they are always appreciated.
  • We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express, cash and personal check with proper identification.
  • Returned/cancelled checks are subject to a minimum $40 fee which is due upon receipt.
  • Gift Certificates are non-refundable.
  • We no longer accept “Gift Certificates for Less”.
  • Extension deposits/payments are non-refundable.
  • We reserve the right to deny or stop treatment or service at any time for any reason.
  • Packages expire 6 months to 1 year from purchase date unless otherwise stated.
  • Packages are not refundable or transferable.
